The 2K12 Kub-M tags in the Christmas 2025 release were cut from a SA-6 surface-to-air missile, known by its Russian designation 2K12 “Kub-M”. These tags were made from a small panel removed from a Serbian SA-6, which is historically significant as it was very likely active during the Yugoslav Wars. It is very likely that this very missile was locked onto many NATO aircraft during those conflicts. Notably, it was a Serbian SA-6 that shot down Scott O’Grady’s F-16C over Bosnia in 1995, an event later portrayed in the Hollywood film Behind Enemy Lines. The panel I acquired was very small, allowing for only three tags. Fortunately, the serial number of the missile was stenciled on the back side, making these tags even more special.
