Blue-yellow tags with “compartments” were cut from a wing panel of MiG-29 s/n 2960728125, an airframe once wearing the Ukrainian Falcons aerobatic colors before it was lost in combat in January 2023. Each tag is made from two aluminum layers, and between them are small compartment-like spaces. These internal gaps are unique to every single tag, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

MiG-29 s/n 2960728125 began its life in the Soviet Air Force and later moved to the Ukrainian Air Force in the early 1990s as part of Russia’s debt repayments. Its Soviet bort is unknown, but in Ukraine it first flew as Blue 20 with the 9th Tactical Aviation Brigade (9 BrTA) at Ozerne Airbase. Scramble records show Blue 20 still at Ozerne in February 2009. After that, it transferred to 114 BrTA at Ivano-Frankivsk, received the Ukrainian Falcons scheme, and was renumbered Blue 05 in August 2011. The last public trace of the jet was a video posted by pilot Vadym “Karaya” Voroshylov in March 2023, where it appeared as White 05.

Once the full-scale invasion began, White 05 reportedly flew combat missions until it was shot down near Ostrivske in Donetsk Oblast on 7 January 2023. The pilot’s fate remains unclear, but he likely survived since no ejection seats were found at the site. Parts of the wreck were later recovered by a local, and many of those pieces were acquired by FIGHTERTAGS and turned into tags for this special release.
